The Rochester DoubleTree by Hilton in Rochester received the DoubleTree by Hilton 2011 Pride Award, which recognizes them for their exceptional commitment to hotel guests, fellow team members and the Rochester community. The award is presented yearly to the top 10 properties amongst the 290 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in 23 countries around the world.
“Winning the Pride Award demonstrates the strong commitment our team has for making a difference in the lives of others every day,” said Michael Smith, General Manager, Rochester DoubleTree. “We are proud to represent Rochester in this way and bring an international award to an international city.”
Rochester DoubleTree’s community involvement in 2011 included leading a holiday book drive for Mayo Volunteer Services and running a cookie-themed contest to raise money for Mayo Children’s Hospital. The hotel also is an active member of various community organizations such as Destination Medical Community, Rochester Downtown Alliance and the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.
The guest service component of the Pride Award is based on the consistency of experience and amenities the hotel provides. Rochester DoubleTree received excellent scores in cleanliness of rooms, helpfulness of hotel staff and problem-free stays.
