• White Peacock Styled Events Brings Smiles to Twin Cities Residents

One day last August, Nicole Liwienski surprised a friend by dropping off a large balloon with tassels attached to it on his doorstep. He had recently completed cancer treatment, and Liwienski wanted to surprise him with something thoughtful. "He was so happy," says Liwienski. "That feeling of giving back and seeing the reaction, I told Jen, ‘let’s start something.’"

So, Liwienski, who co-owns Chanhassen-based event planning company White Peacock Styled Events with the aforementioned Jennifer Rasmussen, decided to start delivering the paddle balloon arrangements (called Frilloons) to others who might need something to brighten their day. Thus, Project Frilloon was born in January. Frilloons, which Liwienski and Rasmussen created as a way to think outside the box when planning events, are used in many of their soirees.

Anyone can nominate Frilloon recipients by submitting their story via email to White Peacock Styled Events. The duo then selects one recipient a month, who not only gets a Frilloon, but also gets featured on the company’s blog. "Jen and I truly feel so lucky to be able to have our own business and be able to create these beautiful experiences for clients," says Liwienski. "We owe it to ourselves and the community to be able to give somebody a piece of our happiness."
