Cinco de Mayo MN M+E style

Printer-friendly version

Greetings everyone!

Last week the Minneapolis Tiger Oak family ended the workday a little early on Friday to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We spent time together bonding over delicious food, drinks and music. Not only was it a blast and got us away from our computer screens but it motivated everyone to meet their deadlines early in anticipation of a fun kick-off to the weekend.

Alexia and Emma Kelsey of Wimsey Events & Design transformed the office kitchen with bright pops of color in hanging paper flowers, papel picado (Mexican paper banners) and a lovely bartending station with a framed drink menu. Employees huddled around to fill up on tacos and try freshly prepared beverages like traditional margaritas, pomegranate margaritas, mojitos or a selection of Mexican beer. Non-alcoholic mocktails were also on tap making sure there was something for everyone.

This sort of party doesn't happen very often but when it does, it's a major hit. What are your favorite office party themes or activities? Share them in the comments below along with why they were a success.

Cheers!
