Is there anything more convenient to both planners and attendees alike than having their meetings, activities and hotel stays all under one roof?

Mall of America, JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America, and Radisson Blue Mall of America recently announced a new “Under One Roof” meeting experience. The three properties are working together to offer luxury meeting space, as well as built-in entertainment and dining all in one convenient package.

“We represent the 43 exceptional hotels in Bloomington and Mall of America is a central draw for these properties,” stated Dan O’Neill, vice president strategy and sales for the Bloomington CVB. “Many planners are looking for a large unique space with built-in entertainment; we consider this new meeting experience within Mall of America a nice asset to Bloomington's hospitality community.”

The three venues together offer a total of 650 peak room nights and 60,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 1,200 attendees. The two hotels and the Mall of America also provide fun and creative outlets for team building activities such as scavenger hunts through the mall or progressive dinners at the numerous dining establishments – not to mention the shopping and entertainment opportunities.

"Our hotel is designed to creatively deliver an authentic, inspiring environment and warm, intuitive service that is highly appealing to business travelers, meeting and group planners, and leisure guests," says Amy Shahin, director of hotel sales, JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America.

With close proximity to the Twin Cities, and around the corner from the airport, the location could not be more convenient for out of town planners. Additionally, Bloomington has the largest concentration of hotels in the state and is a premier destination for meetings, conventions, and groups.

“The Radisson Blu Mall of America team is proud to further its partnership with Mall of America and JW Marriott Minneapolis,” says director of sales and marketing Marilyn Miller. “We are always striving to offer the most impactful meeting offerings and look forward to the opportunity to host large scale meetings and events with our partners.”

Lela Restaurant has rolled out new lunch and dinner menus, created by new executive chef Thomas Orbison.

Chef Orbison discovered his passion and talent for cooking following his career in the United States Air Force. “After six years in the military, I developed a passion for cooking and moved to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu, which is like Harvard for chefs,” said Oribson.

Now that he’s back in Minnesota for the first time since 2004, Oribson is excited to launch some new entrees in the southwest metro.
