Winter or summer, there’s always something exciting to do at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center.  Accommodations are tasteful and comfortable, and Arrowwood offers housing inside the cozy lodge or in one of their many townhomes and cottages. There are special holiday celebrations, activities available any time of the year, and seasonal offerings specific to warm or cold weather. From golfing to swimming, horseback riding to boating, there’s always something fun to do with your group at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center.

Warm Weather Fun

There’s nothing quite like being on the water in a Minnesota summer, and with a full-service marina onsite, renting a boat at Arrowwood Resort is easy. Take your group out for a peaceful pontoon ride or pump up the adrenaline with personal jet skis. Or enjoy a relaxing day on the water with motorized fishing boats, paddle boards, or canoes and kayaks. You can also explore the water with a leisurely cruise around Lake Darling, available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

For options out of the water, Arrowwood Resort does not disappoint. The property is home to the newly-renovated Atikwa Championship Golf Course, an executive putting course and a driving range, all perfect for the aspiring Arnold Palmer in your group. The Arrowwood Stables are also onsite offering 30 horses, and with a riding ring, scenic trails and a tractor-drawn hayride, all perfect for enjoying the natural beauty of Minnesota.

Why not take the teambuilding outside during the warm weather months with the multitude of onsite activities to keep your group engaged and entertained? Between offerings like Bunco, a Fun-K, and a mini golf tournament, there is an activity for anyone. Some highlights include the Amazing Race – Arrowwood Style, a scavenger hunt customizable to your industry, the Wacky Olympics where contestants compete in crazy, zany, hilarious activities and an Old-Fashioned Carnival complete with booths such as the Milk Jug Softball Throw, Bottle Ring Toss, Basketball Free Throw, or Matchbox Car Race.

Cold Weather Inspiration

Just because the outdoor temperature has dropped a few degrees, does not mean the level of fun at Arrowwood Resort must do the same. The resort offers a wide-range of winter activities and a designated Snow Center, all guaranteed to help guests forget the cold weather. Head to the Snow Center to enjoy classics like sledding, ice skating and cross-country skiing, or truly embrace the Minnesota winter with a little ice fishing. Groups can also enjoy more out-of-the-box activities such as broomball on the lake in front of the hotel, or snowmobiling over 500 miles of groomed trails. If you’d prefer to venture offsite, Andes Tower Hills is only minutes away and offers downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing. After a day spent outside, treat your group to hot apple cider around the campfire, or warm up inside with popcorn and board games.

If enjoying the outdoors isn’t exactly your group’s priority, Arrowwood Resort offers plenty of things to do inside. Indoor tennis and basketball courts are available for the sports-minded participants, while the Darling Reflections Spa offers a peaceful place to unwind. The Big Splash Indoor Waterpark is one of the largest and best in Minnesota and is the perfect weekend distraction from the cold temperatures outside and seasonal activities such as cookie decorating make sure guest never get bored.

Aventri, a leader in events management software (EMS), recently released ‘The Top 100 Meeting and Event Venues in the United States’ for 2019. The company took the ten top-rated meeting and event cities in the United States and picked the top ten venues in each area, compiling a list of 100 highly-regarded spaces.

The guide identifies the two most valuable factors in attendee satisfaction as venue location and activities in the host city, followed by capacity, uniqueness and proximity to local attractions.

Standing in the Emery's lobby, where live greenery thrives and natural light streams in, it's hard to believe that this used to be Hotel Minneapolis. Emery is still an Autograph Collection hotel, like Hotel Minneapolis was, but it is, for all intents and purposes, a new, not just renovated, hotel.

With the NCAA Final Four tournament coming to Minneapolis, there's an abundance of events, activities and places that all visitors and Bold North natives alike will want to check out.
