I am beyond honored to rejoin the Meetings + Events team as the new digital content editor. After interning under Ada this past spring, I realize I have big shoes to fill, but I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you.

I recently graduated in May from the University of Minnesota with a degree in professional journalism and I have a deep passion for the ever-changing web side of the industry. Having moved here for college, I’ve only lived in Minneapolis for five years but have loved every minute of it. I am very excited to explore the state further through this publication-what better way to discover a city than through its events?

I can’t wait to get to know all of you and I look forward to learning about all the fantastic events you’ve planned. Feel free to email me with any suggestions, criticisms, comments, or even just to say hi!

Lela Restaurant has rolled out new lunch and dinner menus, created by new executive chef Thomas Orbison.

Chef Orbison discovered his passion and talent for cooking following his career in the United States Air Force. “After six years in the military, I developed a passion for cooking and moved to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu, which is like Harvard for chefs,” said Orbison.

Now that he’s back in Minnesota for the first time since 2004, Orbison is excited to launch some new entrees in the southwest metro.
