    POSTED August 7, 2014

Minneapolis just played host to the 2014 All-Star Game and not too far down the road the state will be hosting Super Bowl LII. It seems the rest of the country is catching on to something we’ve always known – that Minneapolis’ sports facilities are top-notch! But did you also know that Target Field and the new Vikings Stadium hold many great options for meeting and event space? The M+E team recently got to go behind the scenes and look at all that these venues have to offer.

Target Field
Home to the Minnesota Twins, Target Field offers 10 different venues for holding a meeting or event including:
- 573
- Budweiser Rooftop Deck
- Carew Atrium
- Delta Sky 360 Legends Club
- Hrbek’s Pub
- Metropolitan Club
- Puckett Atrium
- Skyline Suite
- Thomson Reuters Champions Club
- Town Ball Tavern
With such a variety of rooms, Target Field can host any type of event from a shareholder’s meeting, to a holiday party, to a full-blown conference. Capacity in room size varies anywhere from 350 guests to 1,125 guests and the design differs from room to room. Want more than just a space to entertain? Target Field offers event enhancers that include activities such as a stadium tour, a photo shoot on home plate, access to the outfield video boards and even Twins memorabilia. Delaware North Sportservice acts as Target Field’s exclusive caterer and Executive Chef Pastor Jimenez will work to create a customized menu for any event.

Vikings Stadium

The new Vikings Stadium is slowly but surely rising up from the ashes of the Metrodome and the new stadium will truly be “Built for the Bold.” This theme is reflected in not only the design, but in the meeting and event space as well. From suites, to private rooms, to the stadium itself, the new space will truly be a unique venue.

For smaller groups, Vikings Stadium will have suites actually on the turf as well as six clubs, each with their own personality. The biggest, Vikings Club, will offer 28,000 square feet of event space and downtown views. Additionally, the stadium as a whole can increase and decrease in the number of seats available and the floor can be transformed for anything from an NHL game to a large-scale conference. In the warmer months, Vikings Stadium will offer seven acres of space for outdoor events and when it’s too cold to brave the outdoors, one can travel from the airport to the stadium through the light rail and skyway systems and never even step outside.

It may not be open to the public until 2016, but the new Vikings Stadium will be a great venue to check out once it is completed. Don’t believe us? Check out this video!

With the NCAA Final Four tournament coming to Minneapolis, there's an abundance of events, activities and places that all visitors and Bold North natives alike will want to check out.
