Destination Kohler Appoints Doug Stringer as Head Chef of the Award-Winning Immigrant Restaurant

Kohler Co. has announced the appointment of Doug Stringer as head chef of The Immigrant Restaurant, located at The American Club resort-hotel at Destination Kohler.

Stringer joined Kohler Co. in 2015 as sous chef of Riverbend, where he oversaw all facets of kitchen operations, purchasing, food cost management, staffing, menu design, and overall leadership. He has over seven years of fine dining and hospitality experience. In his new role, he will oversee the development and creation of culinary programs.

MetroConnections Director of Tour Guide Services Given NCA Award

Tracy DeJong, director of tour guide services for metroConnections, has been honored with the 2016 National Concierge Association Affiliate Volunteer of the Year Award. DeJong is also a board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the NCA. Previously, she was co-chair of the fundraising committee for NCA’s Minnesota Chapter.

SelfEco Reveals New Compostable Line

SelfEco recently revealed a new line of disposable, eco-friendly dishes called Compostable without Compromise. The line features more than 20 products with 12 separate designs that will allow event planners to go green in style.

The bioplastic products include a variety of drinkware, catering ware and utensils, which can be used for a range of different events.
