Weekends from August 19 through October 1 welcome back the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Voted 2017’s best festival, The Renaissance Festival draws hundreds of thousands of mead drinking, fairy loving, medieval enthusiasts every year. With free parking, 250 artisan booths, and 16 stages of live entertainment, the annual celebration offers planners a unique venue for their next event.
Brews & Buses: St. Paul Brewery Bus Crawl offers beer lovers the unique opportunity to experience each of Saint Paul’s 11 breweries, without having to worry about driving throughout the day. The GetKnit event is in its third year and will be taking place on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Participants board a fleet of specially-commissioned “brewery buses” at Union Depot in Lowertown Saint Paul and will be delivered door-to-door of each brewery in the capital city.

For the thirteenth consecutive year, the International Live Events Association (ILEA) Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter is hosting its annual Minnesota Star Awards. Events industry professionals throughout the area, both ILEA members and non-members, are welcome to submit their events for consideration. Those who are interested should do so quickly, the deadline for submission is Jan. 20, though they have a generous late deadline on Jan. 27.
The Holidazzle is a longstanding Minnesota tradition for people of all ages. This past Memorial Day weekend, the Mall of America was abuzz when over 500 bloggers gathered for the Travel Blog Exchange (TBEX), the world’s largest gathering of travel bloggers, writers, new media content creators and social media travel industry professionals. Here, bloggers spent the weekend networking with one another, finding out how to keep their blogs relevant, and touring both the new and old gems of the Twin Cities.

Paws for a Break
MPI is teaming up with Love Dog Adventures—a Las Vegas animal-assisted therapy program. Designed as a stress-reducing activity, several dogs will be present during Smart Monday for attendees to cuddle with. These puppy sessions are quickly becoming a hot new trend and have been featured in a number of World Education Congresses. Puppy Cuddling is sponsored by Visit Norfolk.
The Minneapolis Aquatennial celebrations are in full swing. Yesterday kicked off the official start of the four-day celebration. The Minneapolis Aquatennial is the official civic celebration of the City of Minneapolis. No tickets are required to attend the Aquatennial, however there are some events that require registration.
Each year Minnesotans look forward to Saint Paul’s first rite of summer, Grand Old Days. Grand Old Days took place this past weekend, Saturday, June 4- Sunday, June 5. The free festival was located along Grand Avenue in St. Paul from Dale Avenue to Prior Avenue.
Saturday was solely about the businesses on Grand Avenue. All of the businesses featured sales and special promotions that went on throughout the day.
