At ILEA MSP’s September program at the McNamara Alumni Center, attendees turned their attention to Lady Gaga. No, she wasn’t performing. Rather, marketing expert Jackie Huba dissected Lady Gaga’s method that has made her one of the biggest pop stars of our time— thanks in large part to her faithful following on social media. Presenting research from her book “Monster Loyalty: How Lady Gaga Turns Followers into Fanatics,” Huba demonstrated specific strategies that businesses can use to their advantage. ilea-msp.org; jackiehuba.com

MNM+E’s annual readers’ choice awards brought 305 meeting and event professionals to the Minneapolis Institute of Art on April 5 to honor the Best of 2018 award winners and Hall of Famers.
