The Commons Hotel, located in Minneapolis on the University of Minnesota campus, announced their newest offering: Small Meetings = Big Rewards. The new program is a way to entice planners to hold meetings with 10–100 room nights through March 31, 2017.

IMEX America 2016 Breaks New Records

According to recently published figures, IMEX America 2016 has officially broken multiple records. The event, which was held Oct. 18–20, had an attendance increase of 14 percent from last year.

There was a 6 percent increase in the attendance of hosted buyers, making up 3,216 from 60 countries. About 10,000 buyers attended group appointments and prescheduled appointments were upwards of 60,000—far more than the numbers gathered in 2015.

JW Marriott Minneapolis Honored By Condé Nast Magazine

The JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America, which opened in November 2015, has been honored by Condé Nast’s Traveler magazine as the Best In The World 2016 Reader’s Choice Award.

The magazine raved about the 321-room, 21-suite hotel especially its skyway access to the Mall. Additionally, Traveler praised JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America’s restaurant, Cedar + Stone, Urban Table. The magazine highlighted the heart New American dishes and the restaurant’s extensive craft brew selection.

Westin Galleria Dallas Completes Multimillion-Dollar Renovation

The Westin Galleria Dallas has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to the property. Every inch of the hotel has been updated, including the 448 guest rooms and 10 suites, the lobby, the 54,000-square-feet of meeting space and the hotel’s restaurant.
