A historic landmark property has been completely overhauled and transformed into a new charming Midwest meeting place.

The Howard, located in the lakefront town of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, encompasses an event space, concert hall, day-time café and a vintage 10-lane basement bowling alley, complete with modern touches including automatic lanes, plush couches and a private viewing room. The 33,000-square-foot space has the potential to host conventions conventions, business meetings, weddings and more. The Howard's 7,000-square-foot ballroom can accommodate up to 450 guests and its 1,800-square-foot Great Hall can hold up to 185.

Built in 1927, the Eagles Club was orginally founded as the home to a men's-only fraternal organization, which served as venue for community events and statewide conventions. The concert hall was also once used for lavish balls and boxing matches.

The Howard has been carefully restored by sisters and proprietors, Carey Sharpe and Jenna Golem, and through the restoration process many original elements of the building's original craftsmanship have been preserved while modern amenities like The Cafe at The Howard (serving healthy, sustainable and locally sourced food options) and The Lanes incorporate playful new event offerings. The Howard will also host a variety of live entertainment featuring Grammy award-winning artists and even murder mystery dinner theatre events.

The picturesque area of east central Minnesota just got even more interesting after its local craft beverage producers decided to team up. Several breweries, wineries, a distillery and a cidery make up the East Central Beverage Trail, bringing visitors and locals their favorite craft beverages with the backdrop of Isanti, Pine, and Kanabec counties. The trail consists of eight locations with their own specialty creations. Just take your pick, and you’re on your way.
