Hotel du Village captures the beauty and romance of the French countryside and places it squarely in the charming and creative hamlet of New Hope. It’s long been a New Hope landmark, beloved by visitors and residents, many of whom spent Thanksgiving dinner around a table at the hotel’s restaurant, so it was naturally met with curiosity when Hotel du Village was sold in 2013. Luckily the new owners, Jeanne and Frank Cretella of the New Jersey-based Landmark Hospitality, were dedicated to preserving the generous spirit of the property while updating it. “My husband Frank and I had been patrons of Hotel du Village for many years,” says Jeanne Cretella. “We always loved the property and the feeling you got when you drove up. In fact, Barbara (the previous owner) became a friend,” adds Cretella.

Renovations took over a year and the completely refreshed Hotel du Village now offers 22 guest rooms, a swimming pool with cabanas, tennis courts and fire pits, along with two event spaces, the Colt Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 200 guests, and the Historic Ballroom, with space for 130 guests. Each room has its own entrance, cocktail space, outdoor terraces with fire pits, bathrooms and coat rooms. “There is no crossover at all. This, coupled with our policy of staggering events, will allow a true feeling of exclusivity for all of our guests,” says Cretella. “Creating a lasting memory for everyone who visits Hotel du Village is what we will strive for as well as providing our guests with an experience that they will never forget. We feel strongly that our level of service, quality of food and our unique design will allow Hotel du Village to prosper.”

After a year that kept most explorers close to home, the newly transformed Rand Tower Hotel Minneapolis is ready to whisk guests away on a new adventure. With the completion of a $110 million-dollar transformation, the Jazz Age architectural icon that once housed office space has been reborn as a luxe 270-room boutique hotel.
