Events Warm Up With Cool Ice Lanterns

A do-it-yourself décor projectmay seem like a headache waiting to happen, but these ice lanterns from Minneapolis-based Wintercraft make for an easy way to create a gorgeous winter setting."Anytime you put a flame in ice, it’s beautiful," says Jennifer Hedberg, owner.

Wintercraft’s Globe Ice Lantern Kits come with easy-to-follow directions. The kits contain a heavy-duty balloon that users fill up with water and place on the freezing bases when it’s cold. A guide then lets people know how long to freeze it before popping the balloon and peeling it off.

Signature Drink - Prairie Gin-ger

The Minneapolis-based Phillips Distilling Company whipped up this original, herbal cocktail for Minnesota Meetings + Events, and it truly is the drink of the season. Ginger and beer mix with coriander, angelica, lemon, cassia and juniper gin flavors to create a taste that isn’t too dry, and satisfies with a soft, minty finish. Bust this out at your next soiree, and your guests won’t be disappointed.
