• MetroConnections Director of Tour Guide Services Given NCA Award

Tracy DeJong, director of tour guide services for metroConnections, has been honored with the 2016 National Concierge Association Affiliate Volunteer of the Year Award. DeJong is also a board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the NCA. Previously, she was co-chair of the fundraising committee for NCA’s Minnesota Chapter.

“Tracy DeJong is a public relations asset,” says David Graves, president and CEO, metroConnections. “She works hard at getting out into the industry and showcasing metroConnections. We appreciate her efforts and congratulate her on this well-deserved award.”

DeJong is an active member of the Twin Cities community and works as a spokesperson for bringing business into the Twin Cities. Prior to this award, DeJong has been recognized for her work in the community and has received the metroConnections Service Excellence Award in 2015.

On September 1, over 1,500 businesses across the country illuminated their buildings with red lights to draw attention to the devastation that the live events and performance art industries have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

According to a survey commissioned by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), frequent travelers feel safer when hotels adhere to AHLA's Stay Safe guidelines, which detail cleaning protocols for hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

Through responses to bi-weekly surveys, Global Business Travel Association members have indicated that domestic busines travel is ramping up after months of struggle.
