Event Snapshots: Assocations North Celebrates 60 Years

Associations North, formerly MSAE (Midwest Society of Association Executives), celebrated 60 years at Aria Minneapolis on Aug. 4 by honoring the past, present and future. Guests were greeted with stilt walkers, valet parking, champagne tower and a walk through the decades in the form of 8-foot-by-8-foot photo walls from the past six decades. Member logos were highlighted in a big “60” for a memorable backdrop. The four-sided bar and video cube overhead highlighted more member photos and videos on the impact of associations (complete with a blooper reel).

Sweat it Out and Take Team-building to Another More Active Level

A new trend in team-building is afoot—and it involves endorphin-inducing sweat sessions. Physical activity engages both brain and body, encourages participants to take risks, bonds people together over a common goal, and has positive effects that endure long after the pulse has returned to its normal rate. Minnesota has no shortage of venues that specialize in heart-pounding experiences for all kinds of groups. Forget stuffy networking events or tepid get-to-know-you activities; it’s time to get your next gathering moving.
