Omni Hotels & Resorts is announcing new developments for the hotel. The 16-story hotel is set to open in June 2017, showcasing 300 guest rooms and suites, and 24,000 square-feet of meeting space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom. Additionally, Omni Hotels & Resorts has appointed Gayla Guyse as director of sales and marketing for the Omni Frisco Hotel. Guyse has 20 years of experience working for the Omni Frisco Hotel. More than half of Guyse’s career has been working in leadership positions at Omni properties, including a director of sales and marketing position at Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West; a director position in catering and conference services at the Omni Park West and the Omni Fort Worth Hotel; a food and beverage director position for The Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas; and a director of catering and conference services position at the Westin Beechwood. She has received numerous accolades including Omni’s President Circle (six times) and the 2013 Sales & Marketing Ideal Executive of the Year.
Due to COVID-19, non-essential travel was, or has been, banned for months. Long anticipated trips and in-person gatherings were canceled and people have adjusted to the new normal: staying at home and meeting over Zoom. However, states have been slowly lifting restrictions, and non-essential travel will soon be happening across the country again. However, some may not be as comfortable with the thought of traveling as they were before the pandemic.
