The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare, Tapestry Collection by Hilton officially opened this holiday season on November 15 while honoring veteran Elizabeth O’Byrne in conjunction with Veterans Day. O’Byrne and her family received the first guest special experience at the hotel’s grand opening event.

Rosemont’s first boutique hotel provided O’Byrne and her family with a memorable first guest visit. This experience included a complimentary stay and meal for O’Byrne and her family. The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare also offered O’Byrne a $100 gift card, goody bags for her grandchildren and complimentary Dave and Buster’s play cards.

The event included speeches from The Rose Hotel’s general manager, Micaela Haas, and honorary first guest and veteran of the United States Army, Elizabeth O’Byrne. The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare is the closest off-airport hotel to O’Hare Airport and provides guests with the first ever Tapestry Collection experience.

The expansive Grand View Lodge is getting even bigger. Two-ish hours from Minneapolis, the resort is appealing to planners with its new hotel and conference center it’s planning as part of its $30 million expansion. The 60-room boutique hotel—simply called North—is situated to become the perfect venue for groups looking to escape the city.

After four generations of Ruttger family ownership, the historic Lake Bemidji resort is now under new ownership. Mark and Karrie Nelson purchased Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge at the conclusion of the 2017/18 season and will be expanding the property into a year-round resort.

The couple, who bring ten years of experience from previous ownership of a family resort on Cass Lake, plan to re-brand Ruttger’s as an upscale, year-round family vacation destination and retreat venue.

A historic landmark property has been completely overhauled and transformed into a new charming Midwest meeting place.
