• Visit Milwaukee Wins Coveted Award

Visit Milwaukee won the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals National Videographer Award.

After 1,500 video entries were submitted, “Meet Milwaukee,” created by Kris Martinez, Visit Milwaukee’s digital marketing manager, surpassed industry standards and won an Award of Distinction.

“Videos are becoming increasingly important in selling a destination,” says Paul Upchurch, president and CEO of Visit Milwaukee. “We are pleased that the AMCP agrees with us that ‘Meet Milwaukee’ is a high-quality piece that conveys the fun, attractions and natural beauty of our city.”

The awards are judged by professionals in the industry, who are looking for companies that go above and beyond the expectations of the industry. Past winners have ranged from large production companies all the way to student producers.

Developers of The Dayton's Project have announced plans to transform the former JB Hudson Jewelers store into a restaurant space open to the public in spring 2020. Located at Nicollet and 8th Street, the restaurant will include indoor and outdoor patio seating and a dedicated entrance on Nicollet.

 

On Saturday, June 8, Minnesota Cider Guild will be hosting the 6th annual Minnesota Cider Fest at St. Paul's Como Lakeside Pavilion.
