• Visit Milwaukee Wins Coveted Award

Visit Milwaukee won the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals National Videographer Award.

After 1,500 video entries were submitted, “Meet Milwaukee,” created by Kris Martinez, Visit Milwaukee’s digital marketing manager, surpassed industry standards and won an Award of Distinction.

“Videos are becoming increasingly important in selling a destination,” says Paul Upchurch, president and CEO of Visit Milwaukee. “We are pleased that the AMCP agrees with us that ‘Meet Milwaukee’ is a high-quality piece that conveys the fun, attractions and natural beauty of our city.”

The awards are judged by professionals in the industry, who are looking for companies that go above and beyond the expectations of the industry. Past winners have ranged from large production companies all the way to student producers.

Surly Brewing Company tour coordinator Ty Rushmeyer has been named the winner of Meet Minneapolis' Hospitality Hero award for the second quarter of 2019. The award is given quarterly to a member of the Minneapolis hospitality community who has been nominated by their colleagues and has made valuable contributions to the image and culture of Minneapolis through outstanding hospitality and service.

 

BĒT Vodka is taking its popular craft cocktails to the streets with its new travel bar, which opened in June. The travel bar can be set up indoors or outdoors and can be customized with signage or other furnishings to suit your event.

 

MPI Minnesota celebrated its 40th anniversary on May 17th at the newly remodeled Treasure Island Resort and Casino. The event kicked off with a volunteer appreciation cruise on the Mississippi, thanking those that have served on committees or the board for the past 40 years. The awards gala followed at the Treasure Island Resort event center.
