D'Amico Catering celebrated the opening of yet another sure-to-be-a-hit restaurant and bar, The Brooklyn at Edinburgh USA on June 6. From miniature pies, lobster rolls and burgers to tables overflowing with artisan cheeses, fresh vegetables and gourmet breads, the grand opening of The Brooklyn made sure no guest left hungry. 

To showcase the recently remodeled event and meeting spaces, D'Amico Catering served a variety of craft cocktails and hors d’oeuvres throughout the venue, encouraging guests to stroll through the different spaces. Featured cocktails included the "Up to Eleven" and "Whiskey Sour-ish," both of which can be found on The Brooklyn's menu. In Edinburgh's groom's suite, guests could sip on whiskey samples. To match the room's pink theme, sparkling rosé was served in the bridal suite.

The banquet room boasts views of the golf course from its attached patio, perfect for summertime gatherings.

For those who came with an empty stomach, D'Amico Catering did not disappoint. An abundance of hors d’oeuvres were served in classic D'Amico fashion: miniature. From mini banh mi to mini lemon tarts, it would have been shameful to not grab a handful of everything.

To highlight the ballroom's capabilities, "Rock with U" from Fusion Band played hit songs, old and new, with an expansive dance floor popular among the youngest attendees. While children grooved on the dance floor, adults sipped wine, beer and cocktails at the bar; admired and tasted the bamboo bowl display wall, featuring tuna poke and Chef Josh's Vegan Bowl; and picked from a spread of local meats, artisan cheeses, fresh vegetables, spreads, nuts, olives and gourmet breads at the CSA table.

While guests listened to jazz performed by the Benny Weinbeck Trio in the banquet room, they could sample a variety of flatbreads and cool off with a glass of strawberry, lemon or cucumber infused water. Outside, tomahawk chops were served with baby heirloom carrots and red chimichurri at the grill.

Guests with a sweet tooth could indulge in towers of desserts including Mayan chocolate dipped churros, peanut butter tahini cookies, smoked sea salt chocolate chunk cookies, white chocolate hibiscus truffles, yuzu lemon tarts, key lime blackberry pie, milk chocolate hazelnut parfaits, raspberry mango profiteroles and French macarons.

Morrissey Hospitality announced it is partnering with Water Street Inn, a historic hotel located on the St. Croix River in Stillwater, Minn. Under the leadership of Morrissey Hospitality veteran Sam Rose and owners Chuck and Judy Dougherty, Morrissey will phase in the management of the hotel, food, beverage, and retail operations of Water Street’s business over the coming months.

 

Radisson Blu Mall of America promoted Kate Anastasi to director of sales and marketing. Anastasi has been with the Radisson Blu Mall of America team for eight years and has held many support and leadership roles within the sales team. She had most recently served as the assistant director of sales and marketing. Anastasi won the 2021 Radisson Blu Manager of the Year award.  

 

Minneapolis’ first five-star hotel is thoughtful in details with breathtaking views of the Mill City—and several destination restaurants.

“I’d sure like to take a bath there,” I said, perhaps a little too revealingly, to others in the bathroom suite during a tour of the new Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis. Beyond the tub, the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the Mississippi River, a large swath of the northern and western Twin Cities, and the meandering lines of Interstate Highways 394 and 94.
